SOUTH AFRICAN BLOGGER – MELANIE NATHAN – TO HEADLINE ONE PRIDE NETWORK DINNER GALA

 

September 7, 2013, ORLANDO, FL – Melanie Nathan, renown blogger, advocate, journalist and advocacy attorney will be the keynote speaker at the One Pride Network Black Tie Dinner Gala to be held at the Crowne Plaza Orlando Downtown on Saturday, October 12, 2013.

Melanie Nathan, Publisher and Editor, for the advocacy blog “o-blog-dee-o-blog-da” was born in South Africa and currently resides in the California Bay Area.  She began her career as an attorney practicing in South Africa during the Apartheid era.  In 2009 she began publishing her BLOG which has evolved into a renowned BLOG, consisting mostly of unique content, on subjects ranging from US politics and equality to the decriminalization of homosexuality, LGBTQI asylum, sexuality violence and all human rights issues around the globe, with a special focus on Africa.

Her keynote address as part of  the launch dinner for One Pride Network will discuss her advocacy work both in the US and across the globe and her focus on practicing “Political Power through Consumer Spending”.  

The Black Tie Gala Dinner is part of the launch weekend for One Pride Network, which will be held at the Crowne Plaza located at 304 W. Colonial Dr., Orlando, Florida.

One Pride Network, is an Orlando-based organization whose mission is to connect consumer spending with their unique community to support and empower its members.

ONE PRIDE NETWORK TO HOST BUSINESS EXPOSeptember 7, 2013, ORLANDO, FL – One Pride Network will host a “Pride In Business” TM Expo at the Crowne Plaza Orlando Downtown on October 12, 2013, from 10 am until 4pm.The Pride in Business Expo is free to the public, and is seeking vendor participants interested in growing their business by including the LGBT community in its target audience.The LGBT community is a diverse segment of the Orlando community comprised of adults 18+ with a proportionately higher level of discretionary income than the Orlando community at-large.  Nationally, major corporations have recognized the importance of including the LGBT community within their marketing plans and activities; in part for the group’s incrementally larger share of disposable income, but more importantly, for the group’s unwavering support for and loyalty to businesses and products that recognize and reach out to the LGBT community.The Pride in Business Expo is part of the launch weekend for One Pride Network, which will be held at the Crowne Plaza located at 304 W. Jude Matias outspoken advocate for the Gay and Lesbian community in Orlando Florida was in Celebration Florida protesting the Westboro Baptist Church Pickett. Jude is dedicated to speaking up for equality, and defending the rights of the LGBT community.
